60 minutes · 3 sections · 40 questions. You have one hour to read three sets of texts and answer 40 questions. There is no extra transfer time, in the General Training Reading paper, your answers must be finished within the hour.
This is a harder paper. The answers are not sitting on the surface: the questions deliberately re-word what the text says, so you cannot find them by matching a keyword. Read for meaning, watch for the close wrong option, and remember that Not Given means the text neither confirms nor denies the claim, not that the claim sounds unlikely.
Section 2 contains a drag-and-drop matching headings task (Questions 15–20). Drag each heading from the box in the question panel onto the empty box above its paragraph in the text, or, on a touch screen, tap a heading and then tap the box. There are more headings than paragraphs. Everywhere else, spelling counts, and where a question says NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS, a longer answer scores zero even if the meaning is right.
